About the role:

We are looking for a Full Stack Application Developer to join our team and play a significant role in the ongoing development of our system. We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed team member to work within a collaborative and agile environment providing enhancements to the existing application suite as well as taking responsibility for development and implementation of new projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Participates in reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs to determinebest-fit solutions for new projects and existing product enhancements.
  • Develops and implements solutions ensuring product quality, scalability, and performance assurance.
  • Testing of delivered work to ensure high quality across different devices and browsers including automated testing.
  • Provides implementation and post implementation support as needed (within regular business hours)
  • Works with the team to develop, maintain, and communicate current development schedules, timelines, and development status.

Essential Skills:

  • Solid commercial development experience with Python & Django, JSON, JavaScript, HTML 5, CSS.
  • Experience of building transactional web-based applications and websites
  • Relational database experience ideally with MySQL databases.
  • Ability to work in an agile environment and understand agile practices.
  • Knowledge of design and performance best practices for web-based applications.
  • Ability to keep several projects moving ahead simultaneously with a minimum of supervision. mapal-os.com 1
  • Continuous integration/test-driven/automated testing/managed releases experience.
  • Knowledge of GIT or other similar version control systems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and be flexible.
  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks (Angular/Typescript)
  • Linux systems administration including basic scripting.
  • Familiarity with Apache Server configuration and management.
  • DevOps experience a nice-to-have.
  • Experience with Reporting tools.

Salary: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
